About
I am Chen-Yao, and I have just graduated from the Institute of Fisheries Science at National Taiwan University. As an undergraduate I majored in Life Science and took Computer Science and Information Engineering as a minor, and I joined a laboratory in those years to work on larval fish image recognition, which I have continued ever since. That work has produced models for species identification and body length estimation from larval fish images. Over these years of research I have learned how to apply machine learning to real biological problems.
